Sautéed Sunflower Shoots
A Finer Foods Microgreens customer gave me the idea for this recipe so we had to make it. See the video (from Instagram) & recipe below. We served it with Roasted Salmon for a healthy and delicious meal.

Ingredients
8 oz Sunflower Shoots
1 Tbsp lightly toasted Sesame Seeds
1 1/2 Tsp Soy Sauce (Lower Sodium)
3/4 Tsp Sesame oil
1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 Red Chilis (we used dried cayenne chilis)
3-4 Garlic cloves finely minced
1-2 Tsp oil. I used Avocado oil
Steps
Mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil. Set aside.
Heat a Wok or Sautee pan over high heat. Once hot you can lower to medium-low heat.
Add oil.
Toss in your garlic and chilis. Quickly stir them around making sure to manage the heat so you do not burn the garlic.
Add all of the Sunflower Shoots and stir around for 20-30 seconds.
Turn the heat back to high and pour the soy sauce mixture over top and toss the sunflower shoots. Cook for another 30 seconds.
Transfer to a service plate and top with the toasted sesame seeds.
Enjoy!
I hope you enjoy making this as much as we did. It is a fantastic way to incorporate healthy Sunflower Shoots into your meal plan.
